FUNERAL

FUNERAL

When a person dies, one will most often turn to a funeral director who can help with all the practical and legal elements concerning death.

One of the things you agree with the funeral director about is whether a minister is to be involved in the funeral.

If you want the Danish minister in Australia to participate, please contact the minister and arrange time and place for a conversation.

The Danish ritual is followed, but we gladly take into account local customs if they fall within the framework of evangelical Lutheran Christianity. The ritual can be in both Danish and English.
We ask for a $300 donation if you are not a member of the Danish Church in Australia. In addition, payment is made to a possible organist (fees may vary). If the funeral is to take place elsewhere than the church, for example in a crematorium, renting of this must also be paid in addition to.
