Sankt Hans – for the whole family!
Big Bonfire, Danish goodies, traditional twist bread and feel real Danish ‘hygge’ around the golden dancing flames.
Yes, it is almost time to celebrate Sankt Hans.
The Danish Church is inviting you and your family for Sankt Hans celebrations. Everybody is welcome.
We begin our evening of ‘hygge’ with mulled wine, Danish pancake balls, cordial, coffee and tea, while the children can run around and play.
With nightfall there will be a bonfire speach, then we will light the big bonfire and sing the song of midsummer. When the witch has flown away, it’s time to bake the twist bread on long sticks in the fire with sausages.
Price for a members of the Danish Church: adult $15, child $10, family $50
Price for non-members of the Danish Church: adult $20, child $10, family $60
What to bring:
BYO Picnic, a stick for the twist bread, picnic chairs and warm clothes, as it gets cold, when the sun goes down.
