Confirmation

Klik her for dansk version

Confirmation is a strong tradition in Denmark, and although not so common in Australia, many children with Danish affiliation choose to be confirmed in the Danish Church.
As a starting point, we try to do it in Danish, but if needed, the teaching is in English.

Next year’s class starts in September – and it is now you have to enroll your child!

The deadline for registration is August 15th!

First class will be:

Brisbane: Sunday the 25th of August

The classes will be in connection with the service on Sunday, August 25th and December 14th. Furthermore 1 monthly Skype meeting / teaching with the priest as well as a “Confirmand Weekend” from February 21st to February 23rd.

Melbourne: Sunday the 8th of September

The classes will be in connection with the service. Furthermore 1 monthly Skype meeting / teaching with the priest, as well as a “Confirmand Weekend”  from February 21st to February 23rd.

Sydney: Sunday the 1st of September

The classes will take place the first Sunday in each month (not in January). Furthermore 1 monthly Skype meeting / teaching with the priest, as well as a “Confirmand Weekend” from February 21st to February 23rd.

Other places in Australia: The classes will be via Skype with the Brisbane students. The confirmation will take place in either Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne. Which ever fits you best.

Depending on how many students there are, there is a individual or shared Skype lesson.

The students are given a set of tasks each month, which they have to solve themselves. There will be tasks where the parents need to be involved.
