We have put our Playgroup on hold for the moment, while we are planning some new and exiting events for this group.

Song and play

We have decided to focus on songs and play when we have a playgroup two Fridays a month. Therefore, we have introduced an increased use of language games, rhymes / songs and songs, which hopefully can also inspire further play with the language at home afterwards.

Small children experience with the senses. They are receptive and curious. Language play and singing help stimulate the child’s creative, motor and linguistic development. Playing and singing will each time allow the children to listen and move – and at the same time they begin to learn Danish at a significant time in their development.

It becomes a solid form every time children and adults together start playing with the language for 20-30 minutes. The rest of the time is devoted to ordinary play, fun and talk as well as some good eating and drinking. Of course, there should also be time for cozy get-togethers!

Who, where & when

One of the church’s assistant will be the one who chairs the playgroup.

There is a playgroup twice each month. You are welcome every time we meet:

The 1st and 3rd Fridays at 1 p.m. 10-12 at Frederikskirken

35 Hillcrest Road, Pennant Hills

We expect the child’s family to be a member of The Danish Church. It only costs $100 per family for a year.

(You can sign up the first time you are in the playgroup )
